JoAnn-Ch 5-What an awesome reflection between the perfect prayer of the Our Father and the 7 mansions of St. Teresa's Interior Castle. The Our Father is...the whole Gospel summed. It calls us into Christ's mission. The prayer of our journey to holiness...our journey into holy love. (p132 "...Holy love finds its fullness in self-gift, the emblem of which is the cross of our Lord.") So many things to re-reflect upon in this chapter! It was powerful to read how the Our Father starts from end to beginning and then relating to the 7 mansions of St. Teresa. Prayer of St. Teresa of Avila: "The first thing that souls must do if they embark on the path to holiness is really to want to be saints whatever may come, whatever may happen to them, however hard they may have to labor, whoever may complain of them, whether they reach their goal or die on the road."
